High Pressure
We have a self-contained high pressure diamond anvil cell (DAC) lab, which allows preparing, loading, and charaterizing the materials under high pressure and high/low-temperature environment.
Neutron Sources
We carry out inelastic and diffraction neutron scattering experiments at national user facilities at Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Lab, NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR), and other neutron sources around the world.

High Performance Computing
We perform first-principle materials simulation and Monte Carlo neutron experiment simulation at high performance computing facilities at UCR, XSEDE, ORLCF Oak Ridge National Lab, NERSC, etc.
Raman Spectroscopy
Our spectroscopy lab has a flexible ultra-sensitive micro Raman setup that allows us to perform micro Raman and fluorescence measurements for samples under high pressure (DAC) and temperature (laser heating).
Synchrotron
We carry out inelastic X-ray scattering experiments at synchrotrons, at the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Lab and many other synchrotron sources worldwide.
