High Pressure Lab
We have a self-contained high pressure diamond anvil cell (DAC) lab, which allows preparing, loading, and charaterizing the materials under high pressure and temperature environment.
We carry out inelastic and diffraction neutron scattering experiments at national user facilities at Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Lab; NIST Center for Neutron Resrach.
High Performance Computing
We perform first-principle materials simulation and Monte Carlo neutron experiment simulation at high performance computing facilites at UCR and Oak Ridge National Lab.
Our spectroscopy lab has a flexible ultra-sensitive micro Raman setup that allows us to perform Raman and fluorescence measurements for samples under high pressure (DAC) and temperature (laser heating).
We carry out inelastic X-ray scattering experiments at synchrotrons, especially at Sector 30 (HERIX), Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Lab.
